Having been named "Star of the Week: Book Worm" at a mere eight years of age,
Reina's affinity for words revealed itself early. Since her initial award, she
went on to write such insignificant short stories as the one told from her
dog's point of view and the one on conjoined twins, as well as a ho-hum
editorial on why buses should have seat belts. A decade later, Reina's fondness
for language led her to earn degrees in linguistics and Spanish from the
University of Wisconsin - Madison. It was not long before she secured a
nondescript desk job as well as a part-time-part-time job as a copyeditor for
Badger Books, LLC.
